The Reaper

This painting was made from a photograph of a woman picking herbs at a local CSA where I spent a peaceful late afternoon.  I was drawn to the timelessness of harvesting that is part of our common humanity. I loved the contrast of darks and lights in the field and the way the figure was at one with her environment.
