Sunflower Head

Sunflowers will always be some of my favorite flowers. They seem almost human, their heads are so large. Every part of them is beautiful to me – the curvilinear patterns of the smaller petals, their intricate interiors, and the merging of all the different forms and layers. Painting this flower head gave me so much appreciation of the infinite complexity of nature.
